Karl has experience with commercial litigation, privacy matters, communications law, administrative law, and intellectual property transactions and litigation. 

Karl has worked at Hilton Hotels as a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Corporate Fellow, the Federal Communications Commission in the office of Commissioner Mignon Clyburn, the University of Utah’s Technology & Venture Commercialization Office, Justice Ronald E. Nehring of the Utah Supreme Court, and the Office of the New York State Inspector General.

Karl graduated from the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law with honors.  While there, he served as Executive Symposium Editor of the Utah Law Review, planning and hosting the Law Review's Symposium titled Legal Innovation & Modern Entrepreneurship and serving as executive editor for its related symposium issue.  Karl also competed in the American Intellectual Property Law Association moot court competition. 

In his free time, Karl enjoys rock climbing, skiing, supporting Real Salt Lake, and volunteering as a mentor to students at Westminster College.  He also serves as the national States Licensing Director of the Military Spouse J.D. Network.

Karl is Certified as an Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
